Rip-off by Protect America home security
Protect America is a home security, (or home burglar alarm monitoring) company.
Here is how they ripped-me off. Don't let it happen to YOU.
AFter I had been a customer of their's for years, faithfully allowing them to automatically
withdraw my monthly payment from my bank account, I sold my house.
I asked them to let me disconnect the alarm and stop paying.
They said NO, SUCKER !! By being stupid enough to do business with THEM, I earned
the title "sucker" in spades.
Protect America told me that I had to:

Write them a letter asking for temination.

After they receive the letter, they will wait until the next "6 month period" window to appear.

Then, they will put me in THAT window, (whenever that happens to be)

At the end of that 6 month window, I will be allowed to terminate service.
So, even though I don't even own the house any more, Protect America continues to charge
me for a service that I no longer get.
Sure, Protect America could say, "Well, you should have read your agreement if don't like
these conditions."
I you don't mind getting back-stabbed by fine print, go right ahead and do business
with these snakes. Don't be surprised when you find that Protect America's last intention is to "protect your wallet".
If you want to protect your wallet from thrieve, don't do business with Protect America.
